I have to admit that I am a bit bias on this subject due to my personal experience, yes I saw a unidentified flying object in my childhood. It took a long time for me too realize what it was and more to admitted to myself. So when I hear of people saying that a‚ "flying saucer"‚ still have to be proof as a reality, I can help but feel sorry of that person ignorance. Especially if that person hold a important position in either a private company or "God forbids" a position in the government of any country, it will definitely be too arrogant for his own admission when he actually see or comes in contact with a real one.

Myself as a child when I saw the object it fill me with curiosity, fear and wander, in that order. I was in the backyard of the house in the island of Puerto Rico near San Juan in the Metropolitan area, it was a very clear day to which you can see the blue haze of the distance in the sky. Something cut my eye as I play with the ball against the back of the house (concrete single level house typical of the area), it took me sometime (10 to 15 seconds) to adjust my eyes because of the blue haze, the curiosity took over of seeing a cylindrical shiny object at high altitude suspended for quit some time in mid air. The cylinder had at one end 4 pegs or legs similar to a tack, that is circular piece of metal with a center shaft attach to the cylinder body. At the other end is a cone shape door that has been open in halve and whatever was in it came off, the doors were opposite to each other open in the diameter of the cylindrical body. It must have been quite big because of the distance which I estimate more than 8 miles in the air and this is because of the blue haze it must have being a lot of water in the air. The body of the cylinder was very similar to stainless steel in shine with the cone shape door that look more like aluminum in the style shine. The legs or landing gear ( I assume) were more darker like cast steel. I estimate 20 to 30 minutes it have pass in time as it hover in the same spot in the sky as I move to the back wall of the backyard for protection and a better view with the passing clouds (very few). After this periods of time I realize how alone I was and realize that I was alone. At this point I remember a sensation of fear came over me, to the point I run in to the house hoping the object did not see me.

After a couple of minutes in my room thinking about it and feeling a lot safer or gathering up courage. I went outside with caution and look for the object in the sky from the conner of the house. I did not find it. To this day I wander about the incident. I did not tell my parent coming from a broken family it is difficult to sit with a parent and explain something that yourself do not understand.

I write this hopping that somewhere out there, a child or adult that see something similar that it is alright to be curious as long as you take caution seriously and a very long distant between you and the subject, and witness, and video and TV crew for a live broadcast. Seriously. Or face a lot of years of wander until you turn old like me and hope your experience as you pass it along help someone else.
